6. Further Improvements To Master League
Master League helped PES to establish itself as THE football game of the 2000's. The idea was to combine RPG elements with a standard season mode, like the ones seen in most other football games. The results were astonishing. Imagine the addictiveness of early Championship Manager games, amalgameted with some of the finest gameplay ever seen in a football title. That was PES 1-6.
After years of ups and downs, PES 2020 returned to the old winning formula and gave Master League the love it deserved. A major overhaul of the mode breathed new life into the series. With FIFA faltering in the single player department, Konami has set its sights on further building up this mode to drive home its newly gained advantage over EA.
While Konami has kept details to a minimum so far, we can expect to see more depth in the areas of player development, player personaities, management styles, and tweaks to the transfer system. Greater managerial control over the day to day running of the club, including the scheduling of friendly matches, also seem to be on the cards.
With these tweaks, Master League might just return to the era of Espimas, Minanda and Castolo...
