Sony announced today that their upcoming Smash Bros. inspired brawler, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be arriving in the US on October 23rd, October 24th in parts of Europe, October 25th in Australia and New Zealand, and October 26th in the UK and Ireland. Gamers that pre-order the title in advance will gain access to exclusive costumes for every single character in the game. If you're curious to see the costumes for those that have already been announced, be sure to carefully analyze the picture above. Personally, I'm digging the doll-like Big Daddy. SuperBot Entertainment has yet to reveal the full roster of characters for the brawler, but the EVO Fighting Tournament that is taking place tonight will bring two new characters to the roster. In addition, there will be two more revealed at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Hopefully, SuperBot will reveal each new character's pre-order costume alongside the character announcements All-Stars is set to provide PlayStation owners with a brawler comparable to Nintendo's Super Smash series. While the basic gameplay is the same, the biggest distinction between the two is that All-Stars relies on building up a meter to power a knockout attack, as opposed to having a health meter. Luckily, fans now have a set date when they will be able weigh-in a final verdict on Sony's Battle Royale, and whether it could ever compare to Super Smash Bros. Are you looking forward to PlayStation All-Stars, or are you going to boot up your the ol' Super Smash Bros. in October out of spite? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below! Source: IGN
