3. Charizard Looks AWESOME

Charizard appears for a few brief shots in the trailer, and it's not overselling it to say that he looks absolutely fantastic.

There's no fur on his body to speak of, instead looking every bit as scaly as you'd expect for a Pokémon inspired by the design of a dragon.

The glimpses show him breathing fire in a caged arena and very nearly taking a bite out of Pikachu. The fan favourite Pokémon probably isn't going to be in the movie for long, but a fan service cameo will be plenty in a film that's got so many iconic characters to jam in.

But if you were worried the character's design was going to be mangled for the film, you can certainly rest easy that it's faithful and, most importantly, looks terrific on its own terms.
