5. Use Your Pokémon To Capture Others
Say Niantic change the dynamic of how you actually catch Pokémon - say they go for a 'catching mode' that still places the Pokémon right in front of you, but also gives you the option to deploy your own to fight and weaken it.
It would require a better battling system than just wailing on foes and hoping for the best, but if implemented, means you could play Pokémon GO way more like the standard games; capturing, battling and grinding your team, instead of just capturing others.
The thing is, in terms of battling and attacks, we already know each Pokémon comes with a range of idle animations such as jumping or gesturing, and we've seen their special attacks in the gym battles.
Surely it wouldn't be too much more work to let you snatch up additional creatures with the help of your established roster?
