6. It’s A Pokémon Yellow Remake

While the game itself is going to be a lot like Pokémon Go, the story and the setting are effectively a remake of Generation 1’s Pokémon Yellow. Which is a very, very, very good thing. We’re retuning to Kanto, home of Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow and the only series of the anime than anyone can remember watching.

It’s basically the setting you remember from your childhood, further confirming rumours that the whole PokéBusiness Model is to cash in on that sweet, sweet nostalgia dollar.

The main takeaway from this is that, despite the pool of over 800 Pokémon, we’re going be restricted to the original 151, at least at the beginning. As with Go though there’s likely going to be updates to incorporate other generations as time goes on.
