Predicting The Metacritic Scores For 2016's Biggest Video Games

5. Final Fantasy XV (85)

If a game as loathed by fans as Final Fantasy XIII can score 82-83 across the PS3 and Xbox 360, then short of being an abject disaster, Final Fantasy XV should easily be able to hold onto at least an 85 score.

Though the demo released a few months ago did raise a few questions about the game technically (namely its frame rate), if the linearity of FFXIII's first 20 hours are nowhere to be seen, then this should be an easy slam dunk.

We already know from the demo that the graphical fidelity is terrific (if they can steady that frame rate) and the combat is entertaining, so hopefully it also boasts iconic, likeable characters (something the series has been lacking for years) and a plot actually half-way comprehensible.

Critics give out high scores to FF games pretty generously, but even so, this should be an easy improvement over the last core title.
