2015 was another strong year for the PS4, with Sony's console continuing to dominate the current-gen war with nearly double the sales of the Xbox One. But from a PR point of view, Microsoft made all the right moves to claw back some respect for its big green baby. Games aside, the most noteworthy events on the PS4 last year were persistent PSN outages rather than things that advanced the console, while Microsoft were lauded for their implementation of backwards compatibility, expanding Windows 10 support and copious courting of indie developers. The Xbox One continues to gain ground, but Sony should be more determined than ever to reassert its supremacy. They've acted on plenty of fan demands from across 2015, adding options to play media from external HDDs and other devices using DLNA, and there is still work to be done, particularly in implementing simple, consumer-friendly features that prove the PS4 is the quintessential choice going forward.
