6. Auto-Mute Your DualSense Microphone

In a strange move on Sony's part - or maybe to ensure we use the DualSense's microphone whenever the need arises - the PS5 leaves its controller audio channel open by default.

Handy, sure, but also invasive as hell.

To save hitting the mic button every time you turn the console on, head to Settings, Sound, Microphone, and turn "Microphone Status When Logged In" to "Mute".

No more eavesdropping on your private conversations or rage-induced remarks when playing Call of Duty.
