9. 8K Is Happening

One of the more dubious parts of the PS5 information we've received so far is that 8K resolution is part of the package.

Although the idea of playing games at double the current resolution is a great one, 4K is already a pretty expensive and taxing inclusion to any console.

How much more will games need in order to run at 8K? The consoles will need to be a lot more powerful if they hope to achieve this, especially when you consider that not every game can achieve 4K in this generation.

Of course, for the people that can afford 8K displays, this is certainly going to be good news. We just don't think that that's going to be a very big focus for many gamers. If nothing else, it does show that visuals will be just as important in the next generation.

This one seems more like a possibility, rather than a confirmed future for the next-generation.
