PS5, Xbox Scarlett & Nintendo Switch: 9 Things We Need To See
9. Nintendo - Virtual Console
It goes without saying that the Switch's crazy developments as a console have brought a host of new players over to Nintendo's bandwagon. The portability and highly acclaimed stature of its exclusives means the Switch has extended its demographic tenfold, but now new players are in, surely they're going to want to get clued up on what made the iconic game corporation so beloved?
That's where Virtual Console should step in. Cancelling the project was one of the few terrible mistakes Nintendo made in their debut of the handheld console, the older games having the potential to really flesh out and beef up the Switch's roster of games and educate younger games on the early interpretations of all their favourite characters.
It's not too late to resurrect the project, however. Adding classic NES games amongst other iconic pieces of Nintendo's history would add yet another notch to the Switch's already mighty belt, bringing the addictive classics of yesteryear to a handheld device so that they can be enjoyed anywhere.
With backwards compatibility becoming an ever desired feature of the future (more on that later), Nintendo would be foolish not to bring their suite of adored games back from the past onto Switch's all around the world.
