10. The Outer Worlds

When Obsidian Entertainment first announced their new action-RPG at The Game Awards, there was momentary hope that the developer was bringing fans a follow-up to their beloved Fallout: New Vegas.
While that (sadly) isn't the case, The Outer Worlds nevertheless looks like a sure spiritual successor to the studio's RPG hit. However, Obsidian has already confirmed that it'll be far smaller in scale than a Fallout game, while suggesting it compared better to their other much-loved RPG, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II.
Whatever the eventuality of its style and scale, The Outer Worlds is certainly one of 2019's most promising games, and though Obsidian does tend to be fairly rough-around-the-edges as a dev, their passion and creative sense of personality is undeniable.
Expect a flawed yet exceptionally good time that keeps you returning for more.
