As with Wartortle, 65 shouldn't be seen as a negative placing for Charmeleon as it finds itself in far stronger company. Sort of skipped over in both the anime and the special Pokémon origins, it still manages to have an unmissable coolness to its design if not its temperament.
64. Cloyster
If you breed, train and level it correctly, a Cloyster can end up with a defence stat of 504. That is the highest individual stat possible in Generation 1. Massive respect.
63. Exeggutor
Hahahahahahaha just look at it man hahahahahaha mad one.
62. Farfetch'd
One of the few monsters in the franchise you could genuinely just pluck out and place in virtually any other animal-based fantasy series. Hell, give one its own series where it just goes around solving mysteries and batting folk on the head with its leek. A brilliant creature design.
61. Dugtrio
Just three totally hetero dudes, having a hug underground, who can use Earthquake. Boss.
