Ranking Every Boss Battle In Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
13. Blowhard
Blowhard is a tornado with a beard. No idea why.
Spyro games have always had a great sense of imagination, but with Blowhard it was just a big misfire. Spyro The Dragon’s more level based approach to bosses over the arena feel of the sequel means other bosses from the first game at least have that to fall back on. But with Blowhard, even that is relatively dull.
It’s a good enough level in general (there are very few ‘bad’ levels across the classic trilogy), but doesn’t live up to the rest of what its realm offers. If it were the best of the Magic Crafters levels in the build up, it might be a different story. But what we get is far below the standard of High Caves or Alpine Ridge.
It’s simply too easy as well. Spyro isn’t meant to be the most challenging game; at its heart it’s a collect-a-thon that asks you to explore every corner. But despite being a tornado, Blowhard is ridiculously slow. Because of that, it’s simple to get in the three hits you need to take him out before he even has time to strike.
