Despite having less health, a restricted move-set and less imaginative visuals, he finds himself far above the other two. And that is simply because he is the perfect tutorial boss.

Unlike the other two, he is perfectly placed at the right point in the game to test the player's abilities. He is straight-up terrifying and challenging to new players, cementing himself as memorable immediately.

The perfect example of boss placement, the Asylum Demon is proof that having the right boss in the right place can make them infinitely better.
