Playground was originally brought in to support Turn 10 Studios and develop the Forza Horizon spin-off titles. Those titles growing popularity led Microsoft to outright obtain them in 2018.

It can be said that the Horizon series has surpassed the Forza Motorsports games and, arguably, even Sony’s Gran Turismo franchise - with the recent Forza Horizon 4 easily taking the title of best racing game of the last decade.

What's more exciting is Xbox is letting them step outside of the racing sandbox, and have put them in charge of rebooting the long-dormant Fable franchise.

The match-up of this talented, tech-savvy developer with the beloved Xbox RPG series is mouth-watering...and could reveal a whole new exciting facet of this studio.
