Considering Red Dead is highly regarded for its narrative and morality-bending tone, shots like this show that Rockstar are perhaps embracing a colder, harsher take on the West than before.

Recent movies like Bone Tomahawk and to some degree Westworld's most barbaric moments have shown the West wasn't all about rootin' tootin' varmints and piano-playing comedy relief.

If the above image is anything to go by, shooting up the place in RDR 2 feels like it'll be a far more impactful thing to do.
