3. Load Your Save To Retrieve A Far-Away Horse

Sometimes a story mission will just spit you out on the other side of a cutscene, MILES away from not only civilisation, but more importantly, your horse.

Rather than spend the next half hour lumbering around on foot, just open the Story menu from the pause screen and reload that exact same autosave slot.

You'll be back where you are, but because it's now a fresh load, your horse is right there. Perfect.
