Released WWE Superstars To Feature In Retro Game Sequel

WrestleFest follow-up gets Major new roster additions.

Ex-WWE stars Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) and Bryan Myers (Curt Hawkins) have been confirmed as playable characters in RetroMania, the sequel to early-1990s arcade classic WWF WrestleFest.

Cardona and Myers were both released during the infamous 'Black Wednesday' cuts on April 15th, but join a diverse roster than also includes current WWE, AEW and NJPW stars along with several legends.

RetroMania's official website confirmed the details via press release in conjunction with Cardona and Myers breaking the news themselves on their Major Wrestling Figures podcast.

The official statement said; "Retrosoft Studios, LLC is pleased to announce that wrestling superstars Matt Cardona and Brian Meyers will be featured as playable wrestlers in the upcoming release of RetroMania Wrestling. The former World Tag Team Champions bring yet another tandem to RetroMania Wrestling. Cardona and Meyers join a launch roster that includes Hawk and Animal of the Road Warriors, Tommy Dreamer, Nick Aldis, Colt Cabana, Johnny Retro, Nikita Koloff, Jeff Cobb, the Blue World Order, Warhorse, Zack Sabre Jr and Austin Idol. More wrestlers could be made available by downloadable content in the future."

The game will be released for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Playstation 4 in July 2020.
