Resident Evil 2 HUNK: 9 Tips & Tricks For A Perfect Run
9. Which Ammo Is Best?
Leon and Claire may be able to make do with handgun rounds when punchier ammo is in short supply, but for HUNK? It's shotgun ammo all the way. Upon starting his campaign, two batches of normal and yellow gunpowder will be present in your inventory. You could take this as a sign that the game wants you to make one each, of reserve handgun and magnum ammo, but don't - it's a trap.
The former is just about useless for pushing through the large groups of enemies standing between you and escape and the latter, while powerful, is already loaded with enough initial rounds to deal with those nasty Lickers.
Combine the resources into two batches of shotgun shells instead. This'll give you plenty of ammo to plough through zombie fodder when tighter portions of the environment restrict evasive manoeuvres.
You'll never have enough shells to topple every enemy, of course, but think of those additional shells as an insurance policy for the inevitable slip-ups to come.
