Resident Evil 2 Remake: 9 Iconic Moments We Can't Wait To See

9. Brian Irons' Grisly Death

As consumers of this world's greatest form of entertainment, we've self-trained our stomachs not to upset at the sight of the red stuff, but even some of the finest gore that gaming has to offer pales in comparison to the death of police chief Brian Irons.

Even in its original pixelated glory, Irons' literal splitting in half, courtesy of an embryo hastily implanted by William Birkin, isn't the easiest scene to watch, so imagine what Capcom will be able to pull off with two decade's worth of hardware improvements at its disposal?

As per the deluge of details that have emerged since Resident Evil 2 Remake's triumphant unveiling earlier this year, we know that Capcom's not averse to making changes to certain events that took place in the original, but Irons' death, like that of a certain subordinate before him, ranks among the most memorable moments in Leon and Claire's tale of survival, so there's no way Capcom won't deliver the goods.

Just be sure to keep a barf bag at the ready when the moment arrives.
