4. Bonus Content That Encourages Replayability

Bonus content certainly isn't the most important factor of any game, and most games actually tend to avoid it nowadays - unless they're charging for DLC, anyway.

However, for a linear franchise like Resident Evil, it needs to be included in some capacity. Being able to replay the game in a harder difficulty simply isn't enough, nor is hiding it behind a paywall.

Separate side stories or even funny challenges like the Tofu Survivor or Banned Footage are the sort of thing that Resident Evil 8 should aim for. Bonus content in games goes a long way to making them feel like worthy purchases, something that shouldn't be supplemented for DLC like it usually is nowadays.

Resident Evil 8 needs to be packed full of interesting post game additions and secrets to make it feel like Capcom have really invested a lot of time and effort. Once again, it would also compound the length issue mentioned earlier.
