6. No Performance Issues

Thankfully, the gameplay is never let down on the technical side. Returnal runs at 4K60fps, and in my experience never faltered.

I can count maybe two or three times where the framerate dropped a tad during particularly heavy moments, but it was otherwise the rare polished experience.

The super-fast SSD load times keeps the action immediate as well. Whether you're moving to different biomes, fast travelling to previous rooms or having to respawn, you're never waiting around for more than a few seconds.
