Rock Band 4: 10 Essential Bands That Must Be Included

By Lee Price /

1. Led Zeppelin

Much like with Prince, the main barrier to Led Zeppelin making an appearance in Rock Band appears to be the attitude of one its band's members towards the idea of playing along to their tracks using plastic instruments. Jimmy Page has expressed concerns that players simply won't "get" the music that he and the band worked so hard to make, and would much rather people pick up a real instrument. However, those words were spoken more than five years ago, and with such a legendary list of hits behind them, it's a travesty that a band many consider to be the greatest of all time has never found their way onto Rock Band. With just a little bit of luck, Harmonix will go out of their way to rectify this wrong and try convince the members of the band that it is a worthwhile endeavour. With so much great music already playable via the previous iterations of the game, Led Zeppelin stand out as perhaps the biggest band to not allow their music to be used. With the competition between Harmonix and Activision set to start all over again, scoring Zeppelin would be a major coup for Rock Band and could play a deciding factor when it comes to who wins this latest battle between the premier Rhythm games. Key Tracks - Stairway to Heaven, Heartbreaker, Moby Dick. So who so you want to see in Rock Band 4? Have we missed anybody that should be on this list? Let us know in the comments section!
