Skyrim: 5 Ways It Impressed

5 things that did actually impress me about Skyrim.

Skyrim was overrated, here's 5 things that did actually impress me about Skyrim. While my earlier post might have made me come across as being completely negative about Skyrim, I did in fact enjoy my time in the game but clearly not as much as everyone else. But first off, a quick note about yesterday's post. If you commented, go back and check as I have replied to most of the comments. I do not hate Skyrim, I loved it, but it felt like it needed more work, in the areas I specified. These issues pop up over time and begin to frustrate, I didn't pick up the re-used actors five minutes in. I've played Skyrim for total 120 hours, 90 on Ps3 and the remaining 30 on PC. Without further ado... here's five ways Skyrim impressed...

1. Open World Exploration

An obvious no brainer, as that's the point of the game. Exploring is seamless and it really blows me away how much content there is. Rather than playing Grand Theft Auto and saying "Gee, I wonder what's in that building?" in Skyrim, you just approach the front and enter the door. Every nook of the world is fully realised, and no detail was spared. The sheer freedom is staggering, and aside from some a lot of repeatedly used buildings and assets, it still impresses. Another great detail was how even the smallest towns had some unique features. Riverwood's geography, Rorikstead's people and Falkreath's forests were varied enough to stop it from feeling copied and pasted.
