Sony At Paris Games Week: 7 PS4 Reveals We Want To See
7. Detroit: Become Human
Quantic Dream's big new PlayStation title was revealed at Paris Games Week in 2015, so it seems to make sense that we'll see more of it this year as well. The game is still only set for a tentative 2018 release, so there's a possibility that Sony have been saving its fixed date reveal for this event, as there is a precedent for release dates at the show.
Detroit: Become Human follows in the footsteps of Quantic Dream's previous titles, such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls in that it is firmly a story-driven experience, with a great emphasis on characters and decision-making.
Keeping your characters alive through the choices you make is a key component of the game, which also features stunning graphics and facial animation technology to help convey thoughts and feelings.
We haven't seen an awful lot of Detroit yet - it showed up at E3 2017 in a fairly big way, with a detailed gameplay trailer showcasing the game's unique storytelling and choice-based system, as well as the game's world, which features androids who are steadily gaining emotions.
There's a good chance that Sony will follow that up with a gameplay video that shows the game from a different angle, or goes into greater depth about the systems and mechanics shown off at E3.
