Why They'd Be Perfect: Yeah, yeah, I know. Isn't giving a brutish, over-the-top god character to the team that made their livelihood making games about brutish, over-the-top gods a bit of an obvious move? You're not wrong, but there's so much more that Santa Monica Studios could achieve with Thor that wouldn't just repeat the familiar God of War formula.

Because while there'd no doubt be the giant spectacles and insane action that the studio specialises in, there's space within the comic book franchise for the developers to do things they've never attempted before.

Using the female comic book version of Thor and having a different protagonist would be an interesting start, while a more contemplative game about the relationship between superheroes and norse mythology could make for one of the more interesting video game tales out there.
