Star Wars Battlefront 2: 12 Screenshots You Need To See
Amazingly, these are all in-game.
Not that we ever doubted them, but DICE are putting together what looks to be one of the best Star Wars games of all time.
From perfectly replicating the "zzun" of a lightsaber to the crackle of a blaster, the industrial heft of a Star Destroyer to the lush forestation of Theed, every last portion of Battlefront 2's visual production is outstanding, top to bottom.
Such was the case with the 2015 Battlefront, seeing DICE truly show off the power of their Frostbite engine.
Brilliantly, to achieve the desired effect the team use a technique called 'Photogrammetry'; the act of taking numerous photos of real-world props and equipment, before assembling what is then literally a photo-real model in-game. Obviously being published by EA means they've got some considerable insider clout, and everything from the unique laser cannons on the sides of an X-Wing to the individual notches on Luke/Rey's lightsaber are present and correct.
Indeed, November 17th will be here sooner than you think, and with Episode VIII then dropping a month later, what better time to build hype than by taking stock of how well Battlefront II is shaping up?
