Star Wars Battlefront 2: 8 New Features We Can't Wait To Try
The game we should have been playing two years ago.
The sins of the past are (almost) forgotten. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is primed and ready to tick all of the boxes of what a video game sequel should be: a universal improvement over its predecessor.
To see the brand slink back into the shadows for another decade of rest and recuperation wouldn't have been surprising, given the reception the original attracted, but here we are, two years on, and everyone involved has decided to take another crack at doing the galaxy far, far away the justice it deserves.
How the end result ends up being received, we'll see, but right now, nobody can accuse EA or DICE of taking a lackadaisical approach to Battlefront 2. New, improved and, most importantly, more content is exactly what's going to be delivered next month, only this time, equal attention has been given to both single and multiplayer.
We'll be experiencing the Star Wars' universe through the eyes of the Empire come November, but that's just the jumping off point. Reintegrated classes, entirely new systems that encourage, rather than hinder, customization and, of course, the total annihilation of that infernal Token system will all combine to make Battlefront 2 the love letter to Star Wars we should have gotten two years ago.
