Tekken 7: 7 Overpowered Characters That Must Be Fixed

By Robert Zak /

4. Steve

From the moment British boxing pretty boy Steve (who looks more like an Aussie surfer than any British boxer I've seen) appeared on the scene in Tekken 4, he's baffled beginner-mid-level Tekken players with his bobbing, ducking, weaving and bone-crunching counterpunches. He's certainly not a cheap character, and there's a degree of understanding you'll require to use his feinting to maximum effect. However, once your opponent has grasped how to rush you and, God forbid, press you up against the wall, then prepare to be battered and flattened like a schnitzel. He also has incredible range for a guy who doesn't even kick. There's a lot to like about Steve, who has one of the most unique and rewarding fighting styles in the series, but maybe if for Tekken 7 his punching power (particularly counter-punching) was a bit less Mike Tyson, and more fitting for someone of his middleweight stature, then he wouldn't cause so many players to slam their controllers in fits of rage.
