The acclaimed developer is under fire from leaks and their behaviour behind closed doors.

There's no denying that The Last of Us Part 2 ranks among the most anticipated games of 2020. As the sequel to what many consider one of the greatest games of all time, fans have been waiting with baited breath since its announcement in December 2016. And despite having already been delayed due to the worsening global situation, the game remained at the top of many wish lists.

Alongside Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima, which is due to come out on July 17th 2020, The Last of Us Part 2 represents the final flourish of Sony's PlayStation 4 before the next-gen systems take over at the end of the year. Dozens of gamers have been anxious to see the next chapter in Ellie and Joel's story, but as of April 27th, on the same day Part 2 was pushed back to June, Naughty Dog were met with a nasty surprise.

It was discovered at the end of April that a large chunk of the upcoming title had been leaked online; significant details of the story that spread rapidly across the internet. Commentators and content creators of all stripes began to give their takes on the footage; they certainly weren't pleased.

With storytelling being such a crucial part of Naughty Dog's catalogue, opinions on the The Last of Us Part 2 are now deeply divided.
