The amount of customisation and lore behind each one of the races playable in the world of the Elder Scrolls is surely one of the biggest pulls of the series at this point.
The backstories and history help make each and every game feel connected and alive, and are ultimately crucial in selling in the role-playing aspects of the franchise.
One of the most popular races in the Elder Scrolls is the feline natives of Elsweyr, the Khajiit. These furries have a reputation for being untrustworthy drug smugglers and petty thieves amongst the other races, but that really isn't a fair reputation to cast onto an entire group of people.
The Khajiit are one of Tamriel's most honest and deep races found in game.
Skilled traders and negotiators, their homeland is a place shrouded in mystery and their societies have their very own versions of history, cultures, norms and pantheons of worship.
From the daedric prince of madness and his importance in society, to the role the moon plays in deciding what a baby Khajiit looks like, there's so much more to these cats than just stumbling across one of their campsites on the outskirts of a city in Skyrim.
10. J'zargo Has No Level Cap
Every Khajiit character found in the world of the Elder Scrolls has a great and memorable personality, but one feline that stands out above the rest is the mage J'zargo found in Skyrim.
A student mage at the College of Winterhold, J'zargo is shown to be a self-confident and competitive individual when he's first encountered.
His arrogance and cockiness could be well placed however.
When players complete the quest Under Saarthal and discover the Eye of Magnus, a side quest where J'zargo comes up to them and asks whether they can help him out with some of his research becomes available.
J'zargo will ask players to test out some flame scrolls against undead creatures, a task which will kill them if they're not careful, but does then allow them to have the Khajiit mage as a follower.
As a follower, J'zargo is one of the few individuals in the game with absolutely no level cap on any ability or level tree.
This means players not only have a follower who can play any style and eventually become proficient in all of them, but also means that this unique Khajiit was right in his claim that he would one day become the world's most powerful mage.
