14. Don't Expect It At E3

The first thing we need to get out of the way is that it's very unlikely we'll be seeing this game at E3 this year as Bethesda will be focusing on their other franchises. However, we may get a hint at how soon we'll see the game based on what Bethesda do show at the conference.

Starfield is a massive new franchise to stand alongside The Elder Scrolls and Fallout as one of the pillars of Bethesda. A single-player RPG set for next-generation consoles, Starfield is set in one of the streaming worlds that Bethesda have made their name on.

Showing us a universe in which space travel is still dangerous but rewarding, this has been touted both as the largest game that Bethesda has ever made and also an experience that could only be realised on next-generation consoles.

So, what's that got to do with The Elder Scrolls VI? Well, Starfield is currently the primary game that Bethesda are working on, with four of their studios contributing in some way or other. While production of that is currently winding down, The Elder Scrolls VI is still in pre-production.

This means that we won't be seeing anything until Starfield has released.
