MAN, this is a tough one.

Yes, Uncharted 4 is absolutely stunning and it does come with a phenomenal story - yet it's slightly 'hampered' by the fact that you only really get the most out of it if you've played the first three. DOOM's shooting is spectacular and kicks like a twelve gauge, but its multiplayer component feels shoehorned in, and whilst Inside and Titanfall 2 are exemplary games, it's Overwatch that's just dripping in quality.

Literally every single pixel and voxel, from 2D unlockable sprite stickers to voluptuous character models bursting withPixar-rivalling charm, there's a level of proficiency that extends to the combat itself. Yes, it's multiplayer-only, but you can comfortably give anybody a copy of Overwatch and watch their face light up.

From its roster of loveable characters to the 'charge-POP!' sound of the loot boxes bursting after every few games, Overwatch will grab you by both shoulders and route you to the spot for the duration.
