6. Abzu Developers' New Game Is The Pathless

If you haven't played Giant Squid Studios' indie hit Abzû, you absolutely need to change that now, especially before their newly-announced follow-up The Pathless releases.

The teaser trailer promises a visually stunning adventure title in which a masked, arrow-totting protagonist teams up with an eagle to traverse a sweeping, foresty land.

In addition to promises of light combat, exploration and puzzle-solving, there are hints of Shadow of the Colossus-style epic boss fights in there, too.

It's reasonable to expect an artful, short-but-sweet experience when it releases next year. Again, though, don't sleep on Abzû, especially with it recently being ported to the Switch.
