The Game Awards 2018: 9 Rumours & Leaks That Must Happen

9. Planned (Free) Content For Fallout 76

It's difficult ignoring just how much of a disaster Fallout 76 has been. Ripping off fans who bought the $200 Collector's Edition, a flat-out broken launch state, and a playing experience that never rises above its flaws. However, this isn't something that'll be brushed under the rug as it's Bethesda's (supposed) biggest project ever. Well, right now, all that can be done is a whole lot of damage control and some kind of light at the end of the buggy, unfinished tunnel.

While they start dishing out some canvas bags, Bethesda can also start dishing out details on what content they're bringing to their new multiplayer juggernaut. After all, the sheer vacancy of the game's current offered content would indicate (hopefully) that Bethesda Games Studios intends on adding in new plot threads and components over time, treating 76 like the 'service' they stated it would be.

Like No Man's Sky at launch, FO76 is a barren game that offers little more than fetch quests and weak moment-to-moment gameplay. NMS has turned things around immensely thanks to free massive content updates, and Bethesda better have something similar planned. If they don't, proceedings will only get worse for the once universally-loved studio.
