3. It Takes Place In Jackson And Seattle

Following on from the time jump, the new info has also confirmed where the game is going to be set. Though there were hints in the previous trailers, it's now been revealed that the title will follow Ellie's journey from her home in Jackson to the 'overgrown ruins of Seattle'.

There were rumours that unlike the previous game, the sequel was opting to tell its story primarily in one state, but this description suggests it's going to be another adventure across America - or at least a good couple hundred miles of it.

Whether it will have the same seasonal structure is yet to be seen, but that distinct focus on survival across the entire country will remain.
