10. Ball And Chain

Twilight Princess has some of the most fun items in the Legend Of Zelda series, with the spinner and the double clawshot offering some of the best ways to traverse the world ever conceived of. For pure destructive power, though, there’s no topping the ball and chain.

From the moment you lay eyes on it, the ball and chain is a blast. Wielded by a mini boss who wants to use it to bash your head in, it looks like a blast even while you dodge it as it flies towards you. Unusually, though, once you best the baddie, you actually get to keep it.

Once it’s in your grasp, the ball and chain lives up to the hype. It’s primarily used for the Snowpeak Ruins dungeon, but players with a lust for carnage can use it to smash strong baddies to bits with a single swing. It doubles as an example of Link’s sheer strength - though a skinny young lad, with little visible exertion he can lift this enormous iron orb above his head and fling it with incredible force at his foes.
