His recent turn in The Revenant is a fantastic illustration of his ability to play the surly, muttering loner, which he could certainly channel a bit of for the part. Another crucial facet of Tom Hardy's is his sex appeal. Despite his recent propensity towards gruff roles, he's also something of a heart-throb, which is befitting of Geralt, quite possibly the biggest lothario in video games. Assuming the movie would be about a relatively young Geralt, he is equal parts lover and fighter - a balance that could be struck by Tom Hardy more so than anyone else on this list.
