3. Alien: Isolation - Crew Expendable

Considering that Alien: Isolation's "Crew Expendable" DLC was released the very same day as the main game, it probably shouldn't have flown quite so under the radar.

But for a few weeks it was only available as part of the game's Nostromo Edition, and given that it only lasts around 30 minutes, it may simply have been too piecemeal an experience for many to bother with.

Plus, it's a common complaint that the main game is many, many hours too long, and so players might've just been Alien'd out by the time they reached the end credits.

But Crew Expendable is a gorgeous treat for fans, taking place during the events of the original Alien film with players controlling either Ripley, Parker, or Dallas as they attempt to blow the xenomorph out of the Nostromo's airlock.

While it offers only a taste of what a game based on Ridley Scott's original film could be like, Crew Expendable is an ultra-atmospheric mini-masterpiece of interactive storytelling.
