8 Secret Video Game Endings You Needed A Guide For
6. Rocket Ending - Bubsy 3D
Granted, there probably aren't too many folk who persevered to the end of Bubsy 3D, between its absolutely maddening controls, obtuse level design, and how infuriatingly obnoxious the title character is.
Those players who actually make it to the end of the game will most certainly unlock the ending where Bubsy gets stranded in outer space, but another ending can be unlocked for dedicated players who collect each of the 32 rocket parts strewn across the game's 18 levels.
But many of these parts are so ludicrously well-hidden, which combined with the game's aforementioned unwieldy controls, level size, and the lack of information about which parts are on which levels, makes it an exercise in self-flagellation lest you dare use a guide.
The sheer agony of navigating the game world means this is no picnic even with a guide, but it's pretty much the only way to get it done without risking your sanity.
As for what the "golden" ending entails? Bubsy instead tears through the space-time continuum in his rocket ship and ends up stranded in the Stone Age. Totally worth it.
