Ups & Downs From Star Trek: Voyager - Across The Unknown
2. Up: Series Accuracy
One thing to absolutely love about this game is its attention to detail in terms of the series and Harry not getting a promotion.
The stall is set out from the get-go, with the opening salvo coming in the form of Caretaker. This brings the crew together while also introducing all the elements of the game, which is, frankly, essential.
There is a main storyline that runs across the game and is indicated by the yellow delta markers in each system, but there is also the opportunity to step beyond that line and tackle some of the "one-off" events that Voyager encountered. For example there's B'Elanna's split in Faces and the appearance of Jetrel within the first couple of sectors to add more depth to the story. These are, in some ways, just as important as the main narrative and will affect the bigger picture. The nice bit is that fans can pick and choose where and when to engage with these parts of the Voyager puzzle and even go back if the situation allows.
Don't fancy checking out that wormhole that might lead to the Alpha Quadrant? Take a left and head on out of there.
