What Every Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Fan Thinks Of Every Sekiro Boss

... in between fits of breaking controllers, anyway.

As is now pretty synonymous with any FromSoftware title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is utterly chock full of challenging boss battles.

From mad monks trying to cut you in half through to gigantic beasts looking to get you wedged between their teeth, there's very rarely a moment where you're NOT desperately fighting for your life.

Yet if there's one thing more certain than the classic "You Will Die" mantra of all their games, it's that players will eventually overcome the odds and stand triumphant as the king of the corpse pile. And it's here at the top that we finally gain some perspective of the journey we've come on and can finally look at all these bosses and mini-bosses in a different manner.

Some truly did push us to our limits and beyond, and others? Well, at least they tried right? So let's take a look at all of these beloved bellends that made our lives hell, ironically for our entertainment.

Oh and quick side note, "boss" battles like the Great Serpent and the Great Coloured Carp aren't being counted here because at the end of the day you're not really fighting them so much as moving from safe zone to safe zone and then maybe doing one quick time event style attack.

19. Genichiro Ashina - First Fight

Ok so there are two major things to learn from this opening boss battle.

One that this game is going to kick the piss out of you like you were a kidney being operated on by doctors only using steel toe capped boots and two, that Genichiro is an !*$% who doesn't even take defeat with honor.

Seriously even if you do manage to beat him here, the cheeky little whippet will have one of his goons distract you and then slice off your arm anyway! Dick move bro.
