Wii U: How Much Would You Be Willing To Pay?

With Nintendo president Satoru Iwata confirming that E3 won't bring a Wii U price, we want to know what you would be willing to pay for the next gen console.

With rumours that Nintendo's Wii U console may set buyers back more than $300 circling the net, Nintendo themselves have taken the time to confirm that the newest console will no be given a price at this year's upcoming E3. The games giant will however unveil the final version of the console (which hopefully will also be given a brand new name) as well as the forthcoming games line-up. According to company president Satoru Iwata, both Japanese and US gamers will enjoy the luxury of information around the same time:
"We will showcase the final format, and discuss the details and the software line-up for this year at E3 2012, which will be held in Los Angeles in the United States in June this year. Also, in the week after the E3 show, we would like to organise an opportunity where we can showcase the same to the Japanese wholesalers and financial analysts who cannot attend the E3 show," continued Iwata. "The people in our appropriate sections will let you know as soon as we have settled on further details."
As we have already posted, the pricing info won't come at June's event however:
"Please also be advised that, as we did for previous platforms that were launched in the year-end sales season, we will announce the launch date and price in each market sometime after E3."
Along with telling us what we won't find out, Iwata also told investors that the console will be released in the year end sales window, and that the Wii U's digital strategy will see physical releases and digital versions simultaneously released to the market. While Iwata leaves us to guess exactly what price his company's next console will command, we want to know exactly how much you would be willing to pay for the long-in-gestation hardware.
