3. Everyone Wrestles The Same Way

There are five different character classes in 2K Battlegrounds: powerhouse, brawler, technician, high-flyer, and all-rounder. These dictate the wrestlers' core movesets, with little variation in between.

Wrestlers in each category suffer from copy/paste movesets. They all fight the same with, with identical basic punches, kicks, suplexes, and other moves, and while signatures and finishers profit a semblance of variety, there's no individual flavour to differentiate these characters. Hitting the ring with them essentially feels like driving the same car with a slightly different paint job.

Again, this is a consequence of streamlining, and one wouldn't expect a full, authentic recreation of each wrestlers' individual style, though even wrestlers with distinct real-life styles don't stand out in this regard. For the most part, they all fight the same way - and win or lose the same way...
