WWE 2K15: 10 Things 2K Can Learn From Past Games

5. Arcade Wrestling Can Be A Blast

WWE All Stars was a big change in the WWE video game standards that fans had come to expect. It was more of an arcade style game that exaggerated the physical features of the wrestlers while also giving them moves that were highly exaggerated. It felt like a game based on those times when a kid plays with wrestling action figures and makes them do an impossible number of spins through the air before landing on their opponents. It was crazy, it was silly, and it was a blast to play. Compared to Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, which also came out at the same time, there was far less emphasis on serious simulation that would turn off a casual audience. All Stars had the right idea in terms of having a game that was easy to play (see entry 9,) cool to look at, and was great fun to play with your friends. While not all the traits of WWE All Stars would work for WWE 2k15, that same spirit of being able to perform moves that are easy to execute and fun to watch is definitely one element of All Stars that hopefully lives on in not just the next game entry, but in future entries as well.
