WWE 2K16: 10 Shocking Roster Omissions

6. The Sandman

It's fair to say that The Sandman doesn't represent what World Wrestling Entertainment want from a performer. The guy doesn't have a great body, he's never been the most technical, and he's not somebody the promotion could ever mould into their own creation. That said, he was part of a feud against Steve Austin in ECW during Austin's run there in 1995. At December To Dismember 1995, The Sandman faced both Austin and Mikey Whipwreck in a Three Way Dance. This came hot on the heels of November To Remember, when Whipwreck defeated Austin in a singles effort. Given Whipwreck's inclusion in WWE 2K16, it makes sense that the November match will feature in the game. The Sandman was a much bigger star than Mikey Whipwreck, and fans would likely enjoy playing as him far more. Maybe WWE just couldn't come to an agreement with the former ECW Heavyweight Champion, but leaving him out is a poor move. Sandman embodied what ECW was all about, so he's a must for a future DLC pack, especially if the hardcore promotion is a focal point.
