WWE 2K17: 12 Awesome New Things You Can Do
12. The Creation Suite
Basically, there's more of everything in this year's creation suite which as I'm sure you will agree is really, really nice.
WWE 2K17 has "all-new body hair functionality to compliment the several all-new hair styles and facial hair," although we must admit that the hair in WWE 2K games needs a compete overhaul so it looks like actual human hair, rather than the stiff blatantly computerised stuff we saw all the way back on SmackDown 1.
Skin-wise, we have new wrinkles, blemishes, scars and burn marks, while you can also add bags under the eyes if you want to make your Superstar look tired... I don't see what benefit that would add but it's nice to have all the same.
Create A Championship returns with a new textures that make your belts look like metal, wood, and even reptile skin... 2K have also updated the belts to make them look 3D rather than just a flat image although it would be nice for them to fit the waist of your chosen Superstar as opposed to magically floating around their waist presumably as a result of their own gravitational pull? I don't know... science!
You can now record highlights from your CAW's matches which can be used in the new Create A Video feature which appears to be similar to what we saw in WWE '13. This exterminates the need to use a current Superstar's video wall, basic WWE logo or no video at all during your CAW's entrance.
You can now also create a victory with a choice of several motions: FACE (When crowd cheers for FACE) Motion, HEEL (When crowd cheers for HEEL) Motion, FACE Title Motion, and HEEL Victory Music (Can be set with custom music). There is also Stage Movie Display which can be set with custom videos.
Create A Show includes new visual filters on the in-ring action like black and white, sepia and even the white, snowy, "bad VHS" tape look to recreate something that looks like it comes straight from the 1980s.
When it comes to creating an arena, a small but vital change has been made which allows you to change each individual turnbuckle into different colours - the top can be one colour, the middle can be another and so on. You can even incorporate certain patterns onto these pads, including many different national flags.
Nice work, lads and lasses!
