After hinting at something lurking behind impenetrable metal doors, the #Hatch teaser that WWE's Twitter account was pushing was revealed last night on Monday Night RAW.

Rather predictably, it wasn't a new debuting superstar, it wasn't Randy Orton, it wasn't Sister Abigail and it certainly wasn't the Gobbledy Gooker. No, it was WWE announcing the release date of the WWE 2K17 video game, and the new features that come with it.

So what exactly was lurking behind the door?

Well, that was none other than arguably WCW's greatest individual creation, Goldberg. WWE has announced that not only will Goldberg be a playable character in the new game, but he is also being advertised as a pre-order bonus. Finally, video game enthusiasts will be able to see what would have happened if Scott Hall and Kevin Nash had never clumped together to buy a cattle rod.

The promo for the game is suitably dramatic, with a bunch of nervous law enforcement officers blowing up the door to find a strangely Leo Kruger-esque Goldberg standing behind it.

The whole thing is a little Jurassic Park if you ask me. Either way, WWE 2K17 is set to be released on October 25th, so let the playable character speculation begin.
