7. It's Now Harder To Kick Out

2K Sports

Whether you prefer 2K's mini-game approach to pin falls or you just want to mash the buttons in a frantic bid to escape, it seems like pinning situations will be harder to get out of this year. Kicking out of finishing moves in particular feels like an achievement, because those seem to end matches quickly this time around.

If your character has soaked up even a modicum of abuse over a short period and your opponent hits his/her finisher, forget about it. Maybe this is 2K's way of steeping things further in simulation, but it'll irk a fair few players who yearn for the arcade feel of past titles like Here Comes The Pain.

We know what the developers are going for here. This is supposed to make winning matches feel like more of a victory than a yawn-worthy series of one-sided beatings followed by a gauntlet of finishers and reversals. It remains to be seen how popular this addition will be.
