WWE 2K18: Predicting The 25 Highest Rated Superstars

The go-to guys and gals in WWE's virtual ring...

The roster in a WWE game must be a pain in the backside for the boffins at 2K to keep in check. WWE is a constantly moving machine with cogs that change regularly so keeping not just the names up to date, but the ratings in terms of how a Superstar is performing on television is some upkeep.

'One day you're !*$% of the walk, the next you're a feather duster' very much applies to WWE Superstars and has a knock-on effect when it comes to compiling the roster of the company's marquee video game. Just look at someone like Jack Swagger. In SmackDown vs. RAW 2011, a game released not long after his World Heavyweight Championship reign, he was one of the highest rated Superstars with an 89. Last year, after years of floundering he was down to 71. This year, after his release from WWE a few months back, he won't be in the new title whatsoever.

While Swagger's is a tale of woe, let's take a look at the crop of Superstars who have managed to keep their fortunes on television high meaning they should be in for a favourable rating in 2K18.

It's hard to predict which legends will make the new game so I've decided to try and predict the top 25 Superstars of who you would consider today's roster. You'd expect names like Warrior, Austin and Michaels to oust a few of the following names when the game is released on October 17, but let's see who will be the top of the current crop in WWE's virtual universe.

25. Charlotte: 87

Last year's rating: 86

Charlotte's career has gone from strength-to-strength since her promotion to the main roster in 2015 as she's now proven herself to be the money draw in the female ranks.

While some might argue her career has stagnated somewhat following an incredible series of matches against Sasha Banks, you can't deny that she's the total package from the lady's roster.

That career defining set of matches should see her rating from last year's game increase but maybe not by as much as it could have been if she was able to keep the Banks feud's momentum up.
